Golden Hilltops

This is the sister painting of Earthen Sun. A similar concept grew in my mind for something earth-toned and divine. A scene of hilltops, as though the sun at golden hour, had highlighted the archaic enchantment of their long-lived lives. ‘As old as the hills’ they say. Their history is illustrated in contour lines like soft, curved wrinkles. Decorated with time-worn pathways. Highpoints and peaks like gateways to the miraculous. What legends could they tell you? What songs would these hills sing, as the evening sun sets on a sleepy landscape.
