Desert Meadow PRINT

This artwork sprung from an excess of paint left over on my pallet, smooshed with no plan on a random page of my sketchbook. The layout of colours, the brushstrokes, and the vibe was unexpectedly on point and I was immediately inspired to make an artwork from it. I used that page as my study for the background, and knew I wanted it to feel like a little magical meadow in the red-earth outback of Australia. Imagine: the top of the sun teases just above the horizon, as dusk sets on the scene. A sanctuary nestled in the bottom of a ravine. Golden arms stretch down into the nook, gently touching soft grasses and kangaroo paw fronds. Between the rock faces an undisturbed ecosystem of flora and fauna exists. The animals sweetly nourish themselves, before the quiet dark of the night settles. They are at peace in the land. Tranquility itself…
